Bombardier and Triumph Aerospace: ESD brackets
2014 - To Date
Denroy worked with Bombardier when the C-Series (now Airbus A220) was being developed to replace small – to medium-sized machined aluminium and titanium brackets for wings, center wing-box and fuel-tank applications, intended to last the life of the aircraft despite constant immersion in fuel. Denroy, in close collaboration with its client and Victrex, selected VICTREX PEEK ESD101 grade, which complies with lightning strike requirements, and is resistant to wear and aggressive aerospace fluids. Subsequently the moulded brackets were specified in the C-Series, Global and Learjet aircraft and in 2014 Denroy completed a project to deliver in excess of 100 tools to Triumph Aerospace for the global in the space of 6 months. This project was managed by Denroy and equated to a tool being delivered every other day.
