Reflecting on your career at Denman Brush, what has been the most rewarding part of your journey?

For the past 20 years life has been very rewarding in lots of ways. When I came to Denman, I was not only made to feel very welcome but people went out of their way to help me personally as well as professionally. I enjoyed being part of what felt like a family environment where people cared about the company they worked for and loyal to the owners

What will you miss most about your daily work and the team? 

Haha I will miss the laughter, companionship and camaraderie of my lovely young friends in Denman who saw me through good but also difficult time of my life. Hopefully they will continue to be in my life.

What do you most look forward to in your retirement and how do you plan to spend your time?    

My immediate future is fixing my house, getting another tattoo 😊, going for a month to London to see my family, before the end of the year going for a month to Italy to see my Italian family and squeeze in a holiday to celebrate my 80^th. After that we will see what life brings 😊

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned over the years?               

Over the years God has taught me kindness & acceptance, which has helped me to enjoy my relationships more.

What advice would you give your younger self?

It depends… how young? I would certainly encourage myself to ‘embrace the journey’, be true to myself, not to stress & live the life that makes you happy.
