1. Tell me a bit about your role at Denroy.

My role as a New Product Introduction Programme Engineer is to manage new product processes from receipt of enquiry, right through to delivery of first products. This includes liaising with different internal departments to develop and implement manufacturing plans and also to communicate with external stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of products.

2. What do you like best about working at Denroy?

The best part of my job is the opportunity to constantly learn and develop my skills. I have attended several training courses during my time at Denroy and enjoy being able to put these skills into practice.

I have often had opportunities to promote engineering to students and young people interested in Engineering as a career. I have represented Denroy at Career’s events, Women in Engineering events and am keenly involved in the Build A Plane project, which allows students to work with Aerospace Industry Leaders to build an aircraft.

3. What skills and expertise do you bring to the team?

My previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer both in Denroy and in previous roles has provided me with an understanding of the manufacturing process and procedures used to produce high quality moulded parts. Through this, I have also gained other transferrable skills, such as the use of ERP systems and Continuous Improvement Techniques which are valuable in a NPI role.

4. Have you completed any recent qualifications or courses that have helped you with your job?

I recently completed my Green Belt in Six Sigma. During this course I learnt many problem-solving and data analysis techniques. The course allowed me to further my experience of managing projects and specifically how to deploy cost reduction and efficiency projects.

5. Can you provide any insights into future targets you want to achieve within your role?     

My goal is to continue to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers to make sure that I can provide the best possible support and deliver quality service.
