Denroy Awarded Silver in Aero Excellence Awards. A European First for an SME

“We started this journey 12 years ago when we applied for SC21 Bronze accreditation.”
That commitment to excellence and continuous improvement has culminated in a landmark achievement for Denroy, as we proudly announce our award of Silver in the Aero Excellence Award, making us the first company in Europe to receive this prestigious accreditation.
This new accreditation sets a benchmark for quality, performance, and innovation across the aerospace supply chain. The Aero Excellence initiative aims to improve supplier performance and establish a universal assessment standard for industrial excellence within the aerospace global supply chain. For Denroy a SME achieving silver status represents an extraordinary accomplishment, especially given the depth and rigour of the assessment process. While Gold is a level typically reserved for larger multinationals, reaching Silver as an SME is a powerful testament to our capability, culture, and ambition.
This recognition holds particular significance given Denroy’s position as a trusted supplier to some of the world’s most prominent aerospace manufacturers. As a partner in the supply chains of both Boeing and Airbus, Denroy continues to meet the demanding standards expected by these global leaders.
The Aero Excellence Awards align with this vision, driving performance and resilience across the entire supply chain. Denroy’s Silver award not only reinforces our alignment with these global expectations but also highlights the exceptional capabilities that SMEs can bring to the aerospace industry underpinned by the commitment to continuous improvement and rigorous auditing recognised by global OEMs.
The support of ADS has been instrumental throughout this journey. From our initial SC21 Bronze accreditation to achieving SC21 Gold, the frameworks and guidance provided by ADS have enabled Denroy to build the maturity, systems, and resilience needed to succeed in the Aero Excellence programme. Their continued support has not only empowered Denroy, but also helped position Northern Ireland as a globally recognised hub of aerospace manufacturing. Denroy are of the view that SC21 was an essential foundation for Aero Excellence, we would recommend that any company aiming for Aero Excellence should first engage with the SCS programme.

John Copley, Chief Operating Officer at ADS commented:
“After launching the Aero Excellence International initiative at Farnborough International Airshow in 2024, we are delighted to share that the first silver – and highest yet – Aero Excellence Award has been granted to Denroy. The assessment process – focussed on powering industrial excellence, quality and delivery performance – is rigorous, taking into account every facet of the manufacturing process.
“It is a testament to Denroy’s legacy and rich commitment to manufacturing excellence that they are celebrating here today.”
The award will be given at a ceremony during the International Paris Airshow, taking place in the Roland Garros Auditorium, la Musée de l’air et de l’Espace. All are welcome to attend.
Kevin McNamee, CEO of the Denroy Group, commented:
“This award represents the culmination of over a decade of sustained excellence and transformation at Denroy. From being named Irish Manufacturer of the Year in 2024, followed by regional recognition in Northern Ireland and then the UK, this Aero Excellence Silver Award is the crowning achievement of our journey so far. I’m immensely proud of the entire Denroy team whose adaptability, dedication, and talent and made this possible. Being the first SME in Europe to reach this standard shows what is achievable when a team is united around a shared vision of quality and performance.”
This recognition is not just a mark of past achievement, it is a signal of Denroy’s continued role at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, innovation, and supply chain excellence.
